hours deep cleaning the apartment and still got petty charged $6, even though we had taken days off of work to pack, clean, and move because they were requiring us to move. Also they were renovating? Why was it our responsibility to make the apartment spotless in the first place? This year, my roommates and I decided to pay the $60 each ($240 total) to have “professionals deep clean” the apartment. The apartment could not have been cleaned for more than 30min ( pictures attached). I’ve called the office several times with little help, claiming they can’t control the cleaners. Additionally they deactivated our keys with little prior notification (one sentence at the end of a long email weeks ago). I got home at midnight to my apartment key not working. My key worked fine on Friday before I left, and did not work when I got home Tuesday. Another notification prior to deactivation would have been appreciated. Also, it took 3 weeks for our AC to get fixed after reporting the issue. Overall they could be providing better.
see morefor blowing the hot air around like a convection oven. When she needed a temporary parking pass because her car was in the autobody shop from an accident, they turned it into an Olympic event. After the accident, they actually suggested, "Why didn’t you just buy a new car?" Really?? How many college students can “just buy a new car”? When her two-week temporary parking pass expired for the car she is driving while her car is in the shop, they refused to extend it, insisting, "It doesn’t take that long to get a car repaired" and “it’s a Fair Housing issue”. Uh, excuse me, what? As if that wasn’t enough, when I asked for the corporate headquarters number to file a complaint, Tony gave me the wrong number—not once, but twice! I had to channel my inner Sherlock Holmes to find it online. Thankfully, the corporate employee was polite and swiftly resolved the parking issue. Another issue is that the hot tub at Oakridge is like a mythical creature – often talked about but never seen in action. It’s been out of order since the dawn of time, serving more as a decorative pond for the local ducks than a relaxing amenity for the students. The staff at Oakridge seems to have mastered the art of inefficiency. I wouldn’t recommend living at Oakridge unless you enjoy paying for amenities you can’t use, living in a DIY sauna, and dealing with management that think customer service is an urban legend.

see morethe police.” Took weeks to respond and repair a broken A/C unit in August. Mysterious and random charges upon moving out (one person left a pillow and cleaning supplies (gasp) so all roommates were charged $100). Sure, being a landlord comes with certain needs to run effectively, but blanket charges, slow responses to repairs, and keys that open dozens of doors show an unorganized and mismanaged office. If you’re looking for safety and comfort go somewhere else.
see moreexcited to move into a renovated apartment, only to be let down multiple times. Before moving in, we were told that the furniture hasn't arrived in the newly renovated apartments (my apartment) and they were going to bring in replacement furniture for the meantime until it arrives in late September. Understandable. I was shocked, however, to see that the replacement furnature did not inlude a coffee table, stools for the counter, or a dresser for my clothes! Management told us, "We just thought you could put your clothes on the top shelf of the closet." One shelf does not replace a dresser, and where would I put all of my other stuff that would usually belong in the closet? After multiple people in the same situation talked to both property management and upper management, we were told, "There is nothing that we can do right now." Very disapointing! The replacement furniture that they did provide us with was of the poorest quality imaginable. I would have rather signed for the unrenovated apartments. The only nice thing was the flooring. How inconvenient it was to eat without a stool at the countertop or without a coffee table if we were to sit on the couches. After waiting for over six weeks (after september), we were told that the original furniture, which is very nice furniture that is already in the few already renovated apartments, is no longer coming and that our poor quality "temporary furnature" was here to stay. They did give us the dressers, finally, which of course, was another piece of furniture of terrible quality. Over the entire course of this time, I was not offered any amount of refund for the months without the proper furnature. Those that asked for one were turned away. Make sure you know what you are getting into before signing here. I provided pictures of the flimsy, poor quality furniture.
