floors of my apartment and the apartment below mine. They said it would take a week tops. Cut to 2 months later still nothing done after being forced to live without appliances only one toilet and shower in the apartment of 5 guys and the only sink was in a different bathroom. With workers coming in and out every morning and fans running constantly. They also refused to pay the workers 2 weeks in and they quit(obviously). checked in at the end of my lease and the apartment still didn't have floors or appliances. They moved me to a new room for the end of my lease, making me move myself during finals. Then when I moved into my new apartment the window in the kitchen was leaking and they sent a worker in to fix it(said it would take a week) 3 weeks later still drywall dust everywhere and windows cut out. They boast great community space but the hot tubs are always broken, and the facilities run down. They try to keep in "contact" but the upper management does not care at all the only good part about this place is the single guy they have on maintenance who can't keep up with the rundown of the place. Let alone charging exorbitant prices even for all they "offer"
see moreThe Factory accidentally charged me rent after moving out, and told me I would get that money back in less than a month in a check sent through the mail (along with my security deposit). It’s been a month now and I still haven’t received my refund or security deposit. Certainly infuriating to be short of $1000! Something seems so wrong with their system of doing things financially and it deserves to be looked into. The factory needs better air quality, cleaning protocols, and staff training. I think those are bare minimum.. especially in comparison to how they charge, handle, and communicate finances with their residents. I hope this place improves for the sake of future students in Logan. It’s currently a catastrophe.
see moreaccess to her room cause the door was jammed shut. We were treated very poorly by Karina at the front desk who seemed annoyed that we wanted our room to be clean. My roommates and I were then told that it would be easier if we just cleaned it ourselves. The price is already high and I know its increasing but as of now there is a flat $75 rate for utilities, $12 for renters insurance, $65 for parking each month and whatever your base pay is for your room. One of the big reasons I chose this place was the free use of their printers, and within a couple months they disappeared. I heard the staff talking about how they weren't completing any maintenance orders unless it was for the property because their CEO or someone in charge was visiting soon. During this they also mentioned that they had 100's of maintenance orders. I do think that a lot of things will be changing very soon under the new management. they hired a new maintenance team which has been great. They seem to know what they are doing and hopefully will turn the place around for those who will be living here in the future.
see morenotice they made false promises that the staff would help me move, that they would bring me boxes, and I would be able to pick up my keys when I got out of class late. All lies! This place was ok at first and now I saw run away!!!! The hot tub has been out of order a lot. The floors will make your feet black, so I bought some slippers and the floor is turning them black too, which makes me doubt that the floors are clean. Might be a result of no vacuums in units, or not cleaning the carpet in-between tenants. I ended up getting a shoe rack from the previous roommate that left it in the room. Which I still use. The parking garage is fantastic and there is usually enough room, most of the time you can get the same spot or same area. It's actually really fun to go up and down although I bet it uses a bunch of gas. The hallways in my area of the complex are poorly temp controlled and were very warm over the summer. The roommate situation is different since we don't have RA's or required roommate meetings. You are supposed to do that yourself. I came here because I missed a housing deadline but think my new room is ok, but I got a better deal at blue square, and hope to move back there. They let me bring my ESA with me and the approval process only took like 2 days. They were able to get me approved before the labor day weekend so I can help her acclimate over the long weekend before I need to go to classes again. However after the long weekend they made me move on a random Wednesday when I was at class from 6am to 6pm. I gave you another star for letting me bring Beanie up here to live with me at school. Initially I wanted her to have room to run around, but she was just diagnosed with arthritis so she is starting to slow down and doesn't need as much space, and can live in a smaller space to help me so much emotionally. The staff in the office have always helped me figure out my problem and fast! They also let me into my apartment for free when I left my keys inside. Pretty good but there is room for improvement! I have my own insurance and they billed me for insurance, but after I noticed and notified them they took it off my account promptly. I plan to move back to blue square because I would never renew with how many issues I had.
see morehanded out free energy drinks and doughnuts a number of times. That's about all the good things tho, everything else is sheen. I was actually talking to one of the guys who does maintenance and he told me a number of horror stories about this place, like black mold, SO MUCH broken appliances, and how a lot of things are not up to code. Maintenance is really slow, but my experience with them has been pleasant for the most part, it's just hard for them to keep up when the place is falling apart around them. Hot tub can be nice but I have also never seen them clean it and its often broken. Kinda ghetto too, chalk drawings on bare concrete walls in the hallways makes me feel like I'm in the hood. Believe me, I'm actually being generous giving this place 2 stars instead of 1.
