to walk down the hall to take my dog outside to go potty, and I’m closets to the only patch of grass in the complex which is a life saver for those middle of the night bathroom breaks! Not to mention, Savannah is AMAZING!!! Always so friendly and helpful! Haven’t met an unfriendly neighbor yet! So glad I chose Central Park!!!
see moremy apartment without my prior permission or knowledge. I could tell because a ceiling tile was out of place twice and the door plate under the outer doorknob was super loose and was fixed when I returned. They denied it when I brought it up with management. I like things getting fixed, but I also want my renter’s rights respected. Also, hot tub was broken the whole time, which was one of the reasons I wanted to stay there in the first place. Other than that, management was pretty good to work with and the space was affordable and convenient.
see moreit was a bit more clean. Our furniture and counter space was in decent shape compared to a lot of other reviews. Anyways we thought it was a great starter apartment as the price was decent but it quickly devolved from there. There were some terrible neighbors down the hallway on the same floor as us who held wild parties and played very loud music all hours of the night. This was the second floor. The cops were called on them multiple times and I don’t know how they fit so many people into such a tiny space (honestly) but I saw so many people going in and out and out into the foyer area using our hot tub all drunk. I mean it would have been cool if they let us know they were gonna party, but man this happened almost every night the whole time we lived there. People were trying to sleep and the whole apartment complex is enclosed so the sound would travel throughout the whole complex. Parking is also a nightmare as it’s first come first serve and it’s limited. Good luck parking close to the door to the complex. We quickly found other similar housing at a better price in downtown Rexburg and moved there ASAP. But what boggles my mind and still makes me very upset is that when we moved out from here, we decided we wanted our full deposit back. We weren’t there very long, and we kept the apartment very clean. So we deep cleaned the floor, bathroom, bed, and kitchen space. Everything was in better condition than when we first moved in, I wanted to make sure we would get our money back. So we moved out and I forgot a single bottle of all-purpose cleaner as soon as we moved out so I decided that we would grab it a little later. All the doors are key coded, so I was assuming that they would reassign it as soon as we moved out. We had some friends who still lived there so we went back and decided to try to get in. We assumed no one would be in the apartment since we just moved out. Well about 1 hour after we moved out apparently there was someone moved into our apartment. With the same key code. (I am so sorry to whomever moved in) it startled me because I just got back into it and we knew they had to still do white glove for the next occupants so it alarmed me and the new tenants. I didn’t grab the cleaner, and I booked it out of there. That’s a HUGE security risk to let people use the same codes! What if the previous tenants were to come back and just take stuff? Bad things can happen! Anyways I hope they changed the code. That was horrifying. Anyways even after this they didn’t give us the full deposit back even after all that effort. That was ridiculous. And it was just because I left a bottle of cleaner. One bottle of all-purpose cleaner that would have been useful to the office. The room was spotless and someone even moved in, and we didn’t get our money back. Anyways. Our deposit didn’t even get back to us in a timely manner either. It was like 6 months before we saw the $50 of the total deposit sent back to us, which was the worst. Bottom line: DONT BUY A LEASE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They need to really make adjustments and updates. YOUVE BEEN WARNED.
see moremold in the bathroom and we complained to the management many times about it. Eventually they told us to “clean it ourselves”. We found ourselves becoming sick from the black mold as well. Along with that, everyone we’ve talked to has said they also found mold in their apartments and had to clean it themselves. Not to mention that they hadn’t cleaned ANYTHING from the last tenant and so there was dog fur everywhere, floors weren’t swept, the aforementioned mold, holes in the wall and ceilings, dust everywhere, toenail clippings, used q-tips, toilet had pee on it and so much more. We eventually ended up cleaning the place up as best as we could with our cheap supplies from dollar tree which we really should not have had to do. We thought that maybe they just missed our apartment but every single person we’ve talked to who lives here has said that their apartments ALSO weren’t clean when they first moved in. We also will get random texts sent out to the whole complex from management that will say things like “water heater is broken, no hot water for a few days” or “ac/heater system is broken”. It seems like they are CONSTANTLY broken and no matter how many times they force themselves into your apartment, they never fully fix the problem. I recently learned that this place was previously a hotel from the 70s and honestly at this point, it just needs to be torn down. There are WAY too many problems way past repairs to the point that it’s not even worth it for this place to stay standing. Management is only open 1-5 from Monday-Friday and most of the time they’re late. 4 hours a day for only 5 days a week makes it kind of impossible for a lot of people to talk to management. On our first day moving in they were even late so myself and other new residents had to wait until they eventually showed up. If you plan on actually having a decent experience in Rexburg, I would strongly suggest you pay the extra money to find an actual livable place because clearly, Central Park Apartments does not fall under that category.
see morenot the only tenants here, other people also have problems” and told to figure things out. holes in the walls. holes in the ceiling. maintenance almost never does what they’re requested to do, or they’ll do barely the bare minimum if you can even consider it the bare minimum. awful apartment complex. too expensive for what is being provided. if you’re looking to move anywhere in rexburg, take the box on the sidewalk before taking this place.
