I love the environment here, good people, fun activities, piano in the lounge. Living room is pretty decent size in apartments. Bathroom is small, I'm not a fan of the toilet being so close to the wall so it's hard to sit sometimes. Rooms are small but manageable, fridge is

small making it hard to get refrigerated foods because of lack of room. But overall, a good apartment complex!

Maintenance requests are taken care of quickly, and the manager is very kind. I would love if the cleaning after each semester were more thorough because each semester, I have to clean everything when I move into a new apartment.

I write this post because I just received less than 50% of my deposit back after have lived at Hillcrest for 3 semesters. I was taken $60 dollars for my deposit because I did not personally turn my key into the office (I had to leave earlier than intended in

order to miss a snow storm because I was driving home) and because I did not properly clean under the stove (which I know I did). It is also important to know that the apartment is actually a lot older then what it looks like in the pictures and a lot smaller. There is also no AC in the apartments, so its a nightmare to live in during the hot/warm weather. And the heating system only works for the downstairs floor, no vents to take the heat up to your room. The parking situation is absolutely terrible there as well. It is beyond limited and the parking entrance is very narrow, it is the worst in the winter, cars get stuck at the entrance all the time. Management is continuously changing as well, I want to assume it is because of the owners of the property. Many of my roommates have had a terrible experience with one of the owners. The only good thing about this apartment complex is that it is close to campus (right across the street from the hinckley building), the temple, and that you can get a private room. Save yourself the stress and find somewhere better to live!!!!

I have lived at Hillcrest now for 4 semesters and I have enjoyed my experiences! The apartments are very cozy and feel like home. The other students who live here are very nice, and I feel part of the community. Management does a great job keeping us updated on current

events and reminders. I love the option of having my own room, and I love that there are only 4 girls to an apartment. Overall my experiences have been great and I will be living here until I graduate.

I lived at Hillcrest from Spring to Fall 2020. As with any place, Hillcrest has it’s pros and cons. Good things first: I loved their green space, although they did cut down a few trees while I lived there which was sad. There’s plenty of room in the bedrooms and

the townhouse style of the complexes is a lot of fun. Church was very close by in the Hinckley Building (if you’re into that) and the social atmosphere at Hillcrest was nice and not overbearing. This is definitely a more “chill” place to live, in my opinion. As for the things I didn’t like so much, you do have to pay for laundry. The stairs in the complexes are very tight and narrow, which causes problems when carrying suitcases and bins up and down. The bathroom is *tiny* and I’ve definitely hit people with the door by accident since it’s so close to the vanity. The biggest issue I had, though, was the lack of air conditioning and the fact that the apartments are only warmed up by a single fireplace on the first floor. Definitely bring a portable heater and/ or fan with you if you choose to move here. All in all, I really did like living here. The prices are reasonable and the environment is very nice. If I didn’t transfer to another school I might have stayed here until I graduated.
