out was they had put in a huge, loud fan to dry it out. We were without hot water for over a week. When moving to a different apartment in the complex, I told management we would not clean door due to mold from the issue. I got remarried and my husband and kids moved into a townhouse same complex. We had so many issues from the first day we moved in. We had water issues, especially hot water for 3.5 years. They offered us to stay in a hotel which we did because of no hot water. Every summer we had no A/C and every winter we had no hot water or heat. The complex went through so many maintenance that one jokingly said hopefully it will stay longer than a week. Nope. They even brought specialists in who told them they need to fix it. The maintenance person didn't fix things right away and there were so many times no one was in the office. Our power bill went up which I had them credit due to the issues. Upon arrival from home I came in and maintenance had left a mess and broke something. They had to cut open the wall because of condensation. As tenants we are all required to keep the area nice. Management was in charge of mowing, snow removal, etc. There multiple times as tenants we had to do the snow removal including any ice builtup. Nothing was ever fixed properly and there was water damage due to all the issues. The floor got warped from water leaking. Upon moving out, we had done our part to paint, just to be told that we hadn't used the right color. We told them we would go back and change it. They wouldn't allow us. We kept records of all the conversations between management and maintenance. We were going to be deducted over $150 dollars from our deposit because of that. We sent management an email which was also sent to corporate. They refunded it back to us but they kept $22 as we put our move out date the first of the next month. We moved out the day before so nothing was in there. We have never received the $22.00. I am not giving them a higher rating because of all the issues we had that never got fixed!!!!
see moreRockwell Court. It was a really nice place to live. They allowed us to have our two dogs with no added pet fee (there was a pet deposit though), they had air conditioning, they had washer and dryer hook ups in each apartment, and we never heard our neighbors bump some naughty parts. Goodbye Rockwell...you'll be missed! I feel like there are two types of people that leave reviews, those who are extremely satisfied, and those who are extremely upset! Either way, you are getting a biased review. Although, I admit that that is a generalized comment, and it doesn't apply to all reviews. With this being said though, I want to leave some type review regarding this place. We have lived her for just over 3 years, (May 2014 to Sept. 2017). We plan to stay here until we are done with school (mid 2018). The apartments themselves are pretty new for being in Rexburg (built in 2014), and are still in good shape. Just like with most quick construction jobs some corners were cut in order to cut some time. Example of this are the linoleum in the kitchen and dinning rooms. It should extend a few inches under the carpet, but it just barely over laps it by fractions of an inch. Although, overall it looks good and keeps good (if you maintain it properly). They include every major appliance except for washers and dryers. Hook ups are provided and if you don't want to fork over the money for appliances, coin operated washers and dryers are provided in the clubhouse. A nit picky item I feel like I should throw in as more of a disclaimer to those it may matter to. There is no pantry. So storing food will be kind of hassle. As long as you are willing to cut down junk, you should be fine though. We have been able to make ti work for 3 years and our apartment doesn't look overly cluttered. If you have made it this far in the review, you may be asking, "why only 2 stars?" Well...it is because in a relatively short span of 3 years we have gone through 7 managers. That is not an exaggeration. I can name them all, and roughly give the amount of time they have served. The longest one for 8 months, shortest for about 2 weeks (she almost made it 2 weeks). To be blunt, it sucks not having a manager, and I feel like this goes to the company who owns the complex more than anything. If it wasn't for the long extended times we have gone without a manager, I would rate this 5/5!
