requests with our apartment. While living here we had a leaking pipe, faulty smoke detector, ant infestation, broken dryer, broken shower, windows without screens, and a vacuum that didn’t work. After 6 months of the broken vacuum, they finally fixed it so we could use it. They took weeks to respond to the leaking pipe. They never fixed our dryer so my roommates dad had to do it for us. They did come and fix the shower within a few days, so that was very nice but that’s the only time they did so quickly. We were on the bottom floor and had a problem with ants getting inside. It got to the point that lots of our food in the pantry got ruined and we couldn’t use the bottom two shelves. Despite various calls and reports and promises that they’d send someone, they did nothing to help us and we had to spend our own money to fix the situation. The smoke detector was not working and was beeping for several days despite us replacing the battery. We called them on a Friday and they said they couldn’t send anyone until Monday as it was a ‘non-emergency’ and told us to just disconnect it from the ceiling. We didn’t have a smoke detector or CO alarm for over a week which felt like unsafe living conditions to me. Their cleaning checks were a joke. They would check one thing and then pass you without looking at the rest of the apartment. This resulted in roommates being completely off the hook to contribute or clean. It was just a pretty grimy apartment and there were various things that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years prior to move in. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend living here to anyone. The management was terrible despite the apartments being so nice and spacious. The ward was also not my favorite because everyone kept to themselves so much, it was really hard to make friends at the complex. It worked for a few semesters but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
see moreproblem for me. There were cat scratches all over my walls, no light cover on my light, and my window didn’t have a screen in it. One of the first things I did was put in a request for a screen to be put in, and it was ignored the entire semester. I had to go purchase a vacuum myself because the one provided didn’t work and my room had not been vacuumed prior to me moving in. My entire apartment was disgusting when I moved in and it looked like it did not just go through a clean check. One of my roommates had a cat when I specified that I didn’t want to live with animals. I also mentioned that I wanted the first floor and they ignored that request and put me on the top floor. The clean checks here are a complete joke. They really check nothing, so your apartment turns into a disaster since people aren’t required to clean regularly. I was charged a cleaning fee because of the state of someone else’s fridge even though I cleaned mine. Their application fee is ridiculously high and they somehow managed to take off as many fees as possible before returning my security deposit. I will never live here again and I don’t recommend it to anyone else.
see moreto a point that having a private bedroom is not worth the emotional strain the roommates will put you through.
see moreto confirm and were told they ran out of room. So now we're scrambling to find an apartment. Zero stars.
see moreto their job. They are always willing to do above and beyond, even after they technically get off. Plus the apartments are clean, good amount of space, and a wonderful ward. Private rooms are so crucial to hard working students, but people tend to stray from them for the social factor. The new management had made the ridge a fun place to live AND meet people. They’re awesome!! If you want a good experience in Rexburg student housing, move here.
