One of the better dorms on campus. It’s pretty new, spacious, and beautiful. The food is better than it is at the PHC, making it the best freshman dorm food, not that there was good competition or anything.

This is the "cafeteria" in the University of Utah student dorms but don't expect crusty old lunch ladies ladling slop onto plastic trays. The Kahlert Building is worth a stop for anyone, student or not, in the vicinity of South Campus Drive. The entrance fee gets one into an all-you-can-eat
smorgasbord of totally fresh, locally sourced (if possible), seasonal fare. The kitchen is a Chartwell's Higher Education showpiece, and the company's standard of excellence. Chef Ken (formerly the Executive Chef at Snowbird), and an excellent team of Sous Chefs care about the clientele and the food they make. Inside the food court one will find various stations to satisfy any appetite. There are several buffets within, serving American, Asian, Pizza/Italian, Mexican/Latin, Allergen/Gluten Free items, as well as a salad bar. Pepsi/Mountain Dew products and coffee are available. The food is terrific; clean, well-prepared, and cooked fresh daily. If you are on campus or simply hungry do not miss this place.

I'm pretty impressed with the student dining and facility. It's a nice place for students and visitors.

The dorm rooms are functional and adequate. The public spaces are generally nice and well maintained. The food in the cafeteria is, in my opinion, atrociously bad -- very poor quality from both a nutritional and taste/preparation perspective.

The food is pretty good but like we got to the dining hall at LITERALLY 8:30PM and they closed the dining hall and we didn’t get any food. We are paying so much money for these meal plans just to starve! Please fix
